1 Kings 3:5-14 Solomon given so much but still has the opportunity to mess up-take heed lest you fall
1 Kings 11:1-13 v3 ***they did turn their heart from the Lord*** – family later punished because of Solomons sins with women
2 Chronicles 14:1-13 time of peace comes he did right in sight of God – when attacked, he cried to God
2 Chronicles 16:1-10 Two chapters later, next time attacked, instead of crying to God tried to use bribe
Started strong, but finished weak
2 Timothy 4:3-8 finish the race strong
Being all in – 24/7 – all year
Keep your head in the game
He’s always with you but you still have ability to trip up – keep your eyes open – push through when you would rather lay down
Examples:
Football teams – win first 6 games, lose last six

School – Ace first test, slack off in studying and grades slip throughout semester

In 2017 – when you start to feel like you have an excuse to lay back, give in or not move forward – REMEMBER TO PUSH (pray until something happens) THROUGH THAT TEMPTATION SO YOU CAN FINISH STRONG!
